Holiday Bliss Balls

There are few traditions as sweet as making holiday treats to share with family and friends, but it can be difficult to find recipes that aren’t loaded with refined sugar, dairy, etc. and actually taste good.

At least that’s what we thought until we tried these festive Blissed Balls by Marni and Sheena of Blissed. These vegan, gluten-free Blissed Balls are made with ingredients that you can feel good about. There’s a number of nourishing ingredients in every bite of these tasty treats - from spirulina to cinnamon and everything in between!

Spirulina is a blue-green algae that is ridiculously good for you. This superfood is loaded with amino acids, protein, calcium, iron, magnesium, vitamins A, E and K and antioxidants.

We also love the hemp seeds or hemp hearts in this recipe! These small seeds add a slightly sweet and nutty flavour and offer a boost of nourishment. Hemp hearts are a great plant-based source of protein and healthy fats.

Lastly, cinnamon has a subtly sweet flavour and acts as a potent blood sugar stabilizer. Ground cinnamon also has anti-inflammatory properties and is very high in antioxidants. Consider adding more cinnamon to your diet with recipes like this one!

Make a batch (or two) of these delicious treats today to bring to your next holiday party - we can guarantee that you and your loved ones are going to love them!
